In Cricket, India have set a target of 322 runs for the West Indies in the second ODI of the 5-match series at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
Earlier electing to bat after winning the toss, India made 321 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Indian skipper Virat Kohli remained not out on 157. Today he broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record as the fastest batsman to score 10,000 one-day international runs.
Kohli went past the 81 he needed against West Indies to go to 10,000 ODI runs in 205 innings, beating Tendulkar who reached the mark in 259 innings. Kohli has become the fifth Indian to reach the mark in ODIs. Apart from Kohli, Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni have scored over 10,000 runs in ODIs.
For India, left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav has replaced Khaleel Ahmed in the starting eleven, with Oshane Thomas giving way to debutant Obed Mccoy for the visitors.India is currently leading the series, 1-nil. They had won the first one-dayer by 8 wickets at Guwahati.
