Militants attack Army vehicle in Shopian


Srinagar, Oct 30: Militants attacked an Army vehicle on Tuesday afternoon in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said.

They told Channel 1 that militants fired at an Army vehicle at Meemender in Shopian at around 1350 hrs.

The security forces retaliated ensuing in a brief exchange of fire, they said, adding no one was injured in the attack.

They said the militants managed to escape from the spot. “Additional security forces were rushed and a search operation was launched in the area to nab the attackers,” they added.
